What happens if my car fails its MOT?

If your car fails its MOT, you will be given a refusal of MOT certificate (VT30) Your vehicle must be repaired and retested to comply with MOT standards. You may not be covered by your insurance, so you are advised not to drive it, except to an approved test centre or a garage for repairs. Click here to get in touch.

How often do I need to recharge my air-con?

In-car air-conditioning systems should be recharged every two years with gas and lubricant to ensure best performance. We have an air-con re-gas service available. Click here to find out more.

What does it mean if my “check engine” or “service engine soon” light comes on?

The check engine light can mean many different things, from a loose petrol cap to a serious problem with your car’s engine. Although your car may seem to run fine, it is important to bring your car into Church Road Garage to have it checked and prevent long-term problems. How can I keep my vehicle’s warranty in effect?
